The work above is the main thing. A few engagements a year run alongside it, taken when the problem is interesting rather than when the logo is.
Every one is a fixed scope with a named deliverable, agreed before it starts. No discovery phase, no day rate, no retainer. What you buy is an artefact with a stated method, which you can hand to someone who does not have to believe me.
The four
- Conformance assessment, independently produced
For products inside the European Accessibility Act. Automated scanning is run, and then the part it structurally cannot see — meaning, context, understandability — is assessed by hand with assistive technology. The report states its own coverage before it states its findings. Third-party components are named as such and tested anyway; the obligation does not transfer.
- Market-entry read
A product built for one market, read against the regime it now has to satisfy. The reconstruction from the HSBC case, run against your own: what your structure assumes about its user, what the destination requires instead, and which of the two you are about to lose.
- Publication conformance
Per title. EPUB accessibility against WCAG 2.1 and EPUB Accessibility 1.1, and the metadata that describes it — the part distributors reject files for, and the part most catalogues leave empty.
- Briefing
Forty-five minutes for a board or a product team — see the briefing.
